# How to troubleshoot WineAuction in your AI assistant

Fix sign-in, missing tools, missing prices and API key problems.

## Sign-in fails

1. Check you can sign in at [wineauction.ai/login](https://wineauction.ai/login).
2. Allow pop-ups and turn off ad blockers for the sign-in window.
3. Still failing: remove the WineAuction connector, add it again and sign in.

## No tools, or "needs login"

1. Open your app's connector settings and sign in to WineAuction.
2. Start a new chat. Open chats do not see new tools.
3. Check the server URL is exactly `https://wineauction.ai/api/mcp`.
4. On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, a workspace owner has to add the connector first.

## The answer does not use WineAuction

Name it: "Use WineAuction to check Sassicaia 2016." Check the connector is on for this chat.

## Prices are missing or look wrong

- No retail prices: some wines have none. If no wine shows any, sign in again. Retail needs a WineAuction account.
- No restaurant prices: restaurant offers need a paid plan. See [Pricing](https://wineauction.ai/pricing).
- Wrong wine or vintage: use the full producer and cuvée name, with the vintage.

## You hit a limit

Free accounts get a set number of wine lookups each month. The answer says when you reach it. See [Pricing](https://wineauction.ai/pricing).

## API keys

Use OAuth when your app supports it. Otherwise create a key in **Settings**, send it as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`, and never paste it into a chat. If a key leaks, revoke it in **Settings**.
