About Taittinger

Taittinger is a Reims Champagne house whose origins go back to 1734, when Jacques Fourneaux set up a wine business working with the Benedictine abbeys. The Taittingers, Lorraine wine merchants, arrived in 1932, with Pierre Taittinger's purchase of the Château de la Marquetterie from Forest-Fourneaux. The family's wider business, which included hotels and Bouvet-Ladubay, was sold to Starwood Capital in 2005. The family bought the Champagne house back in 2006 with Crédit Agricole's support, and Vitalie Taittinger now leads it. Its flagship is Comtes de Champagne, a blanc de blancs, with a rosé version.
