Antoine Jobard

Antoine Jobard is a small Meursault domaine whose wines represent some of Burgundy's finest white Burgundies in the accessible-premium tier. Antoine Jobard took over from his father François Jobard in 2004, continuing a tradition of producing site-specific Meursault from a range of village and premier cru lieux-dits. The portfolio includes Les Tillets (village), En la Barre (village), and four premier crus: Genevrières, Blagny, Porusot, and Charmes. Les Tillets leads the auction record at $221 average across 31 lots — unusually high for a village wine, suggesting it trades mostly in older, sought-after vintages with the 2006 anchor. Genevrières averages $170 across 28 lots with the 2017 vintage most represented. En la Barre is more accessible at $81 across 28 lots. Blagny averages $135 and Porusot $145. Auction prices reach $1,315. The overall average of $140 across 150 lots reflects a producer whose wines are highly regarded by Burgundy specialists — François Jobard was considered one of Meursault's great traditionalists, and Antoine has maintained that reputation — but whose name remains below the very top Meursault tier (Coche-Dury, Roulot) in collector hierarchy.

Meursault Les Tillets averages $221 per bottle across 31 lots — the estate's highest auction average — despite being a village rather than premier cru wine, driven by the 2006 vintage's exceptional quality and scarcity.
Antoine Jobard took over from his father François Jobard in 2004; François was widely considered one of Meursault's greatest traditional winemakers, whose reputation Antoine has successfully maintained.
The estate produces four Meursault premier crus — Genevrières, Blagny, Porusot, and Charmes — ranging from $128 to $170 per bottle average, reflecting the quality gradient across Meursault's top lieux-dits.
Auction prices reach $1,315 per bottle, with a portfolio average of $140 across 150 lots, placing Antoine Jobard firmly in Meursault's second tier below Coche-Dury and Roulot in collector hierarchy.

In the Glass

Antoine Jobard's Meursaults are textured, mineral, and age-worthy: stone fruit, hazelnut, beeswax, and fresh cream on a medium-full body with vibrant Meursault acidity and characteristic nutty complexity from well-integrated oak. Les Tillets shows the most mineral tension; Genevrières adds floral depth; Blagny is the most structured. All wines develop beautifully over 8–15 years in bottle.
