Beaux Freres
Beaux Freres is one of Oregon's most celebrated Pinot Noir estates, founded in 1987 when Michael Etzel purchased property in the Ribbon Ridge AVA of Yamhill-Carlton and planted Pinot Noir with help from his brother-in-law — Robert Parker. The Parker connection gave Beaux Freres immediate international attention, and the wines earned scores that placed them among Oregon's finest. The estate farms 88 acres of Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley, with the Beaux Freres Vineyard itself — the estate's heart — planted on the distinctive Ribbon Ridge sub-appellation known for its marine sedimentary soils that lend a distinctive mineral quality. The wine is made in a rich, concentrated style with expressive fruit, complex spice, and the structural depth to age. Additional wines come from the Upper Terrace vineyard and the Belles Soeurs (sister) label. Biodynamic farming has been practiced on the estate since 2001. At auction, Beaux Freres commands premium prices among Oregon producers, with the estate bottling and Beaux Freres Vineyard designation particularly sought after by collectors who appreciate the combination of critical acclaim and relative rarity.

Beaux Freres produces Oregon Pinot Noir at its richest and most concentrated: black cherry, raspberry, dark plum, spice, and earthy forest floor, with dense but supple tannins and a warm, generous fruit character that balances power with elegance. Best opened after 8–12 years.
