Damilano
Damilano is a historic Barolo estate based in Barolo village, farming parcels in three of the Langhe's most prestigious single-vineyard sites: Cannubi, Brunate, and Liste. The Cannubi parcel is of particular historical significance — Damilano's Cannubi bottling draws from one of Barolo's oldest and most celebrated vineyards, a south-southwest-facing hillside in the Barolo commune whose wines have been documented since the 18th century. The estate bottles Barolo under four distinct labels: Cannubi, Brunate, Liste, and the Lecinquevigne (five vines) — a blend from all five of the estate's Barolo MGA parcels. At auction, prices range from $21 to $793, with an average of $106 per bottle across 124 lots. The Cannubi typically commands the highest per-bottle prices, followed by Brunate. Damilano's traditional approach to aging in large Slavonian oak casks produces wines of classic Barolo structure that require patience but reward long cellaring.

In the Glass
Damilano Barolos are classic Nebbiolo: dried roses, tar, red cherry, leather, and iron minerality. Cannubi tends toward more floral elegance; Brunate is more structured and powerful; Liste is fresh and linear. All wines share the hallmark Barolo combination of firm tannins, high acidity, and the extraordinary longevity of traditionally made Nebbiolo.
