About Famille Perrin
Famille Perrin is the family behind Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Pierre Tramier bought Beaucastel in 1909 and replanted it after phylloxera. His son-in-law Pierre Perrin then took over and enlarged it, and it has stayed with the Perrins ever since. Jacques Perrin ran it until 1978, followed by his sons Jean-Pierre and François. The red uses all 13 traditional grapes, with a high share of Mourvèdre, and the white Vieilles Vignes is pure Roussanne. Of 130 hectares, 100 are planted. In 1990 the brothers co-founded Tablas Creek in Paso Robles with Robert Haas. The family also runs a négociant business.
