About Joh. Jos. Prum

Joh. Jos. Prüm is a Riesling estate in Wehlen, Bernkastel, in Germany's Mosel. The Prüm family has lived in Wehlen for over 400 years, but Johann Josef Prüm set up this estate in 1911, when the S.A. Prüm property was split. His son Sebastian joined in 1920 and is credited with shaping the house style in the 1930s and 1940s. After Sebastian's death in 1969, his sons Manfred and Wolfgang took over. Manfred has worked with his daughter Katharina since 2003. The 14 hectares, mostly ungrafted vines, include Wehlener Sonnenuhr and Graacher Himmelreich. The estate belongs to the VDP.
