About Taylor's
Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, trading as Taylor's, is one of the largest and oldest Port houses. Job Bearsley founded it in Vila Nova de Gaia in 1692. It took its present name in 1838, when Joseph Taylor, John Alexander Fladgate and Morgan Yeatman formed a partnership. A merger with Fonseca Guimaraens created the Taylor Fonseca group. After buying C&D Vintners from Diageo, it became the Fladgate Partnership, which also owns Croft. Taylor's ships nearly every Port style, from vintage to aged tawny and white, and it invented late-bottled vintage Port. In 2023 it bought the assets of Ideal Drinks, including estates in Minho, Dão and Bairrada.
