The winery contracts with elite vineyard sites including UV-SL Vineyards, Lauren, Ritchie, Reuling, and Hudson, each bottled separately to express distinct terroir characteristics. Aubert's Chardonnays are made in a restrained Burgundian style — lower alcohol by California standards, selective use of malolactic fermentation, with surgical oak usage — that has won consistent 93–98-point scores from critics including Robert Parker and Antonio Galloni. Auction data shows 2,813 lots at a $127 average with peaks to $2,151; the Lauren Chardonnay leads at $167 average across 207 lots with 2012 as the benchmark vintage. UV-SL Vineyards Chardonnay is the volume leader at 241 lots and $130 average. The Pinot Noir program with UV ($105/131 lots) and Reuling ($116/106 lots) among the top performers demonstrates similar site-specific character.
