About Domaine Bizot

Domaine Bizot is the small Vosne-Romanée estate of Jean-Yves Bizot, a former geologist who still teaches viticulture and oenology in Beaune and represents the family's third generation there. His first vintage was 1998. He farms about 3.5 hectares organically at very low yields, letting shoots grow tall rather than hedging them, and many of the parcels were planted before 1960. The range includes three Vosne-Romanée village wines, among them Les Jachées from vines planted in 1930, about half a hectare of Échezeaux bottled from Les Orveaux, and smaller wines such as a Bourgogne from Le Chapitre and Marsannay Clos du Roy.
