About Domaine Dujac

Domaine Dujac was created by Jacques Seysses, son of a biscuit manufacturer, who learned winemaking at Domaine de la Pousse d'Or and then bought Domaine Marcel Graillet in Morey-Saint-Denis with its 4.5 ha (Wikipedia dates this to 1967, the domaine to 1968). The name contracts 'du Jacques'. The first domaine bottling followed in 1969, and holdings grew to about 11 ha by 1977. Sons Jeremy and Alec and Jeremy's wife Diana joined between 1998 and 2003; after 1999 some fruit was destemmed and less new oak used. The farming became fully organic, certified in 2011, and a share of Domaine Charles Thomas, bought in 2005, raised holdings to 15.5 ha.
