About Domaine Roulot

Guillaume Roulot founded Domaine Roulot in Meursault in 1830. Jean-Marc Roulot has led it since 1989 and farms organically. The domaine owns about nine hectares of Chardonnay in Meursault premier cru and village sites and in Bourgogne, plus a little Aligoté and Pinot Noir in Monthelie and Auxey-Duresses. Bought-in grapes from sites such as Genevrières take its production to around 13 to 16 hectares. Its premiers crus include Perrières, bought in 1976, Charmes, Porusot and Clos des Bouchères, and its village lieux-dits include Tessons and Luchets. The whites are barrel-aged with low sulphur. The 1973 Meursault-Charmes came second among the whites at the 1976 Judgment of Paris.
