About Dugat-Py
The Dugat family has worked vines in Gevrey-Chambertin for many generations, and the first Domaine Dugat was formed after Fernand Dugat married Jeanne Bolnot in 1923. For years Maison Leroy bought the family's wine, until bottling at the domaine began in the 1970s. Bernard Dugat made his first vintage in 1975 and married Jocelyn Py in 1979, and the estate took the name Dugat-Py in 1994. Their son Loïc joined in 1996, began organic trials in 1999 and saw the whole domaine farmed organically by 2003. Its cellars occupy the former Aumônerie of Dijon's St. Bénigne abbey, and its twelve hectares include several grands crus.
