About Rivers-Marie
Rivers-Marie is owned by partners Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh. The two founded it in 2002 to buy Pinot Noir from the far reaches of Sonoma County, beginning with a handshake deal, without contracts, for a small amount of fruit from the Summa Vineyard. The range has since grown to single-variety Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from coastal Sonoma and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, with the winery based on Foothill Boulevard in Calistoga.
