About Robert Groffier

Domaine Robert Groffier Père et Fils, based in Morey-Saint-Denis, was started in the early nineteenth century by Frédéric Groffier. His son Jules assembled most of the present parcels by the 1930s. Robert Groffier, who followed, was the first in the family to bottle the domaine's own wines, and his son Nicolas joined in 2005 and now runs the estate as the fourth generation. Its roughly seventeen acres lie mainly in Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, including the grands crus Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze.
