About Verite
Vérité grew out of Jess Jackson's ambition to make a Sonoma County wine that could stand beside the world's best. Jackson, who had already built a family-owned wine company, met the French vigneron Pierre Seillan in the 1990s, and in 1997 Seillan accepted his invitation to Sonoma County. Seillan has made the wines since 1998, the first vintage listed for La Muse and La Joie; Le Désir followed in 2000. His daughter Hélène, trained in Bordeaux and his assistant at the family's Saint-Émilion estate from 2006, now works beside him at Vérité. The range also includes Le Diamant and Connaissance.
