Siduri

Siduri was founded in 1994 by Adam and Dianna Lee in Santa Rosa, quickly establishing a reputation as one of California's most meticulous single-vineyard Pinot Noir producers before the brand was acquired by Jackson Family Wines in 2015. The business model — buying fruit from top vineyard contracts across the West Coast — yielded an unusually wide single-vintage range, with individual wines from Clos Pepe, Garys' Vineyard, Cargasacchi, Van der Kamp, and Muirfield all appearing in the auction record's 322 lots. At $52 average per bottle the estate occupies the approachable tier of the California Pinot secondary market, though individual top-vineyard bottlings from strong vintages trade higher. Garys' Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands was among the most sought-after lots, alongside Clos Pepe in the Sta. Rita Hills, which consistently produces the estate's most structured wine. The Lee family's subsequent work at Sandhi and later projects demonstrates how deeply the Siduri framework influenced a generation of California Burgundophile winemakers. The Van der Kamp Vineyard bottling from Sonoma Mountain is among the rarest in the auction record, while the Muirfield and Parsons bottlings show the estate's reach across Oregon and California coastal sites.

Siduri produced single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from as many as 20 distinct sites across California and Oregon, with Clos Pepe, Garys', Cargasacchi, Muirfield, and Van der Kamp all appearing in the auction record.
The estate averages $52 per bottle across 322 lots, positioning it as the most accessible Pinot Noir specialist at this quality tier in the California secondary market.
Adam and Dianna Lee founded the label in 1994 and sold it to Jackson Family Wines in 2015; pre-acquisition bottlings are the primary auction focus, particularly from top vintages between 2001 and 2014.
The Clos Pepe bottling, from the highly regarded Sta. Rita Hills site that also supplies Sea Smoke and Brewer-Clifton, is typically the most structured and age-worthy in the Siduri lineup.

In the Glass

Siduri Pinot Noirs range considerably by site but share a house style that prioritises transparency and aromatic precision over extraction. Sta. Rita Hills fruit (Clos Pepe, Cargasacchi) brings saline minerality, dried cherry, and cool-climate spice; Santa Lucia Highlands sites (Garys') lean toward darker plum and riper tannin. The wines are approachable young but retain freshness for 8–12 years in top vintages.
