About Domaine Robert Chevillon
Domaine Robert Chevillon farms almost 13 ha, all in Nuits-Saint-Georges, including eight Pinot Noir premiers crus. The three stars carry vines around 80 years old: Les Cailles (1.1 ha), soft and silky; Les Vaucrains, on stony soil and muscular; and Les Saint-Georges (half a hectare), which joins finesse to power. Chaignots is aromatic and fruit-led, Bousselots concentrated, Perrières mineral, Pruliers powerful and slow, with Roncières alongside. A Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes offers an introduction to the house style. Grapes are fully destemmed, cold-soaked and slowly fermented, then aged 18 months in barrel with 25–30% new oak for the premiers crus.
