About Maison Louis Jadot

Louis Henry Denis Jadot founded Maison Louis Jadot in 1859, although the family had already bought its first Beaune vineyard, Clos des Ursules, in 1826. The house is a négociant, making wine from its own vines and from bought grapes, and it releases only AOC wines. Its holdings cover about 270 hectares across Burgundy and the Beaujolais crus. These include Domaine Ferret in Fuissé and Château des Jacques in Moulin-à-Vent. In 1996 Jadot and Tonnellerie Vicard set up the Cadus cooperage to make oak barrels for the house.
