About Produttori del Barbaresco
Produttori del Barbaresco is a cooperative cellar in Barbaresco, founded during the area's revival from the late 1950s by the parish priest Don Fiorino Marengo. It continued the work of Domizio Cavazza's Cantina Sociale of 1894, which made the first wines officially called Barbaresco: to produce fine wine and keep young farmers from leaving the land. The cooperative became one of Italy's most respected cellars and drew more local landowners back to their vineyards and to making quality Nebbiolo.
