About Bevan Cellars
Bevan Cellars was founded in 2005 by Russell Bevan and his then-wife Victoria De Crescenzo. Bevan, born in Ukiah, studied philosophy, sold dental equipment in Minneapolis and wrote a syndicated wine column before teaching himself to make wine. His first wine came from the Showket Vineyard in Sonoma's Bennett Valley. The label works with purchased fruit, building its range around Oakville sites such as Tench and Harbison, the Wildfoote Vixen vineyard in the Stags Leap District, Sentinel Ridge on Howell Mountain and Bennett Valley's Dry Stack for Sauvignon Blanc. Ontogeny is a multi-vineyard Cabernet blend. In late 2025 Middleton Partners bought De Crescenzo's share.
