About Chateau Clinet

Château Clinet, in the heart of Pomerol, takes its name from a medieval owner and appeared in the earliest editions of Cocks and Féret's Bordeaux and its Wines; it was also among the first estates to call itself a château. The Laborde family owns the estate, and since 2003 Ronan Laborde has run it with his wife Monique, who directs marketing and sales. Its 11.27 hectares of clay and gravel are planted to about three-quarters Merlot and one-quarter Cabernet Sauvignon, and the wine is aged eighteen months, largely in new oak. Fleur de Clinet is the second wine.
