About Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
The de Vogüé domaine traces its family line in Chambolle back to the fifteenth century and has passed down through the generations ever since. It takes its present name from Comte Georges de Vogüé, who succeeded his father Arthur in 1925 and ran the estate until his death in 1987; from about 1980 his daughter Elizabeth took a growing role and later installed a new team. His granddaughters, Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, represent the current generation. The estate's heart is about 7.2 of Musigny's 10 hectares, alongside Bonnes-Mares and Les Amoureuses. Its Musigny Chardonnay, once bottled as white Musigny, has been released as Bourgogne Blanc.
