About Domaine Faiveley

Pierre Faiveley, a native of Nuits-Saint-Georges, founded the domaine in 1825. His nephew Joseph took over in 1860 and bought Corton Clos des Cortons, a grand cru monopole, and Joseph's son François, in charge from 1889 to 1919, added Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges and parcels in Clos de Vougeot. A later François (1976–2004) expanded into Mercurey and Montagny. Erwan Faiveley became president in 2005, joined by his sister Eve in 2014, and has bought further grand cru land such as Musigny, plus vineyards in Chablis. With about 125 ha it is one of Burgundy's largest owners, and in 2021 it took a stake in Williams Selyem.
