About Mazis-Chambertin
Mazis-Chambertin, also written Mazy-Chambertin, is a red grand cru in Gevrey-Chambertin, created in 1937. It sits above the Route des Grands Crus, north of Chambertin-Clos de Bèze and east of Ruchottes-Chambertin, and is the Chambertin vineyard closest to the town itself. It has nothing to do with the similarly named Mazoyères-Chambertin. About 8.8 hectares of Pinot Noir were in production in 2008, making just over 36,000 bottles.
