About Grands Echezeaux
Grands Échezeaux is a red grand cru in Flagey-Echézeaux, created in 1936. It lies between the wall of Clos de Vougeot to the east and north and the larger Échezeaux to the west and south. It is generally rated above its bigger, more variable neighbour. In the early 2000s it had 21 owners, against about 80 in Échezeaux. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is its best-known owner. About 7.5 hectares of Pinot Noir were in production in 2008, making around 32,000 bottles.
