About Saint-Aubin
Saint-Aubin is a Côte de Beaune village appellation. Unlike most of its neighbours, its vineyards lie mainly in a side valley west of Chassagne-Montrachet, not on the main slope. About three-quarters of the wine is white Chardonnay and a quarter red Pinot Noir, and there are no grands crus. About 163 hectares were in production at village and premier cru level in 2008, making roughly 1.1 million bottles.
