About Chapelle-Chambertin
Chapelle-Chambertin is a red grand cru in the southern part of Gevrey-Chambertin, created in 1937. It lies on the lower slope east of Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, across the Route des Grands Crus, and north of Griotte-Chambertin. It includes two named climats, La Chapelle and Les Gémeaux. Its wines are among the palest of Gevrey's grands crus, depend heavily on the vintage, and usually peak between eight and twenty years. About 5.5 hectares were in production in 2008.
