About Morlet
Morlet Family Vineyards is the Napa label of Luc Morlet, born in Épernay into a Champagne growing family, and his wife Jodie, who had founded an import business for the family's Pierre Morlet Champagnes in 1999. Luc moved to Napa in 1996 to succeed John Kongsgaard as winemaker at Newton and later made wine for Peter Michael and Staglin. The couple's first vintage was 2006. In 2010 they bought an 1880 stone, gravity-fed winery just north of St. Helena, built by William Castner, and restored it. Their own vineyards include Mon Chevalier in Knights Valley, planted in 2008, and Coeur de Vallée on the Oakville Bench, bought in 2015.
