Alain Voge is one of Cornas's most historically significant producers, having established the appellation's reputation for serious, age-worthy Syrah before it attracted wider collector attention. Alain Voge founded the domaine in 1952 and became a defining figure in Cornas — then an obscure appellation — before passing management to Albéric Mazoyer in 2004. The estate farms around 12 hectares across Cornas and Saint-Péray, with the Cornas program anchored by three cuvées: Les Vieilles Vignes (Syrah from 50-plus year old vines), Les Vieilles Fontaines (oldest vines, 80-plus years), and the rare Les Chailles. At auction, Les Vieilles Vignes dominates with 88 lots at an average of $110 and the 2010 vintage most traded. Les Vieilles Fontaines averages $118 across 54 lots. Les Chailles is the prestige cuvée, averaging $230 across 18 lots with the 2012 vintage most represented. A top price of $2,271 at auction — almost certainly a large-format or rare vertical — underscores the estate's following among serious Rhône collectors. The 2009 and 2010 vintages are the strongest performers, reflecting the exceptional quality of those Rhône years.
