Pierre Girardin

Pierre Girardin is a young Burgundy négociant-domaine that has attracted significant collector attention since its founding around 2013. Pierre Girardin, previously trained at top Burgundy estates, established his operation in Meursault and quickly built a reputation for precise, mineral-driven Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. The portfolio spans Meursault village wines (Les Narvaux, Les Vireuils, Les Grands Charrons), a Vosne-Romanée, and spectacularly, a tiny parcel of Montrachet Grand Cru — one of the world's most expensive and sought-after white wines. At auction, prices range from $31 to $1,175, with an average of $199 across 124 lots. The Montrachet Grand Cru drives the maximum price point. Girardin's early reputation was built on technical precision, cold fermentation, and clean winemaking that produced wines with excellent fruit purity. The Éclat de Calcaire is an entry-level Chardonnay, while the Vosne-Romanée adds a red Burgundy counterpoint to an otherwise white-dominated portfolio. As a young estate, Girardin offers better access to Grand Cru Burgundy than many longer-established names at comparable price points.
