Vitanza is a small, family-owned Brunello di Montalcino estate producing wines from organically farmed vineyards in the Montalcino zone. The estate occupies a relatively accessible price tier within the appellation—the standard Brunello averages $71 across 239 lots, the Tradizione label $70, and the Riserva $139 across 57 lots. The portfolio's top vintage is 2004, one of the great vintages for Montalcino. The Riserva's 2011 vintage is the most-traded recent release in that tier. With 361 total lots across four wines at $80 average, Vitanza provides consistent auction supply of entry-to-mid-tier Brunello. The Tradizione bottling appears to be a non-riserva age-selection or alternative cuvée based on its price positioning alongside the standard Brunello.
