About Domaine Georges Roumier
Georges Roumier founded this Chambolle-Musigny domaine after marrying into the village in 1924. Parcels in Bonnes-Mares and the Clos de la Bussière in Morey-Saint-Denis came in the 1950s, and his son Jean-Marie formally took over in 1961, adding a plot of Corton-Charlemagne in 1968. From the 1983 vintage the whole crop was bottled at the estate. Jean-Marie's son Christophe, trained in oenology, joined in the early 1980s and has led the domaine since his father retired in 1990, now alongside his sister Delphine. Chemical fertilisers and herbicides were dropped around 1988–89. Today's range of more than 12 hectares runs from Bourgogne to Musigny and Les Amoureuses.
