About Domaine des Lambrays

Domaine des Lambrays owns 8.66 of the 8.84 hectares of Clos des Lambrays, a walled Grand Cru vineyard just south-west of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Taupenot-Merme owns a small piece, so the domaine cannot label the wine a monopole. The vineyard was raised from Premier to Grand Cru in 1981, which made it a separate AOC. It is planted to Pinot noir. In 2008 about 7 hectares were in production, giving just over 31,000 bottles.
